Sales Mastery: Quantifying Pain
Learning what Pain is costing or could be worth your prospect does several things to help your cause. It helps create urgency because money could be bleeding the company, it gives you a value to use when determining what the prospect is willing to spend to offset Pain, and it gives you the common denominators for the Budget step, which may be different than Money. Finding out the impact and/or consequences of acquiring or preventing something can also help get your prospect more committed.
